Terms of Service / End User License Agreement (EULA)

Welcome to KindPDF (the “App”). The App is developed and provided by Jutai Network Technology Co., Ltd. (JU-TAI NETWORK TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD., Tax ID 59234686, the “Company”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Scope of license

  1. The Company grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on an Android device that you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes.
  2. The App is currently provided free of charge, with no ads and no in-app purchases, as a pure reading tool.
  3. All rights not expressly granted in this Agreement are reserved by the Company.

2. Google Play terms

When you download the App through Google Play, you also agree to the Google Play Terms of Service. If this Agreement conflicts with the Google Play terms, the Google Play terms prevail to the extent Google Play requires; any charges or refunds for the App (should paid features be introduced in the future) are handled under Google Play policy.

3. Fair use and prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  1. Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or circumvent technical protection measures of the App (except where permitted by law).
  2. Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright notice or trademark in the App.
  3. Use the App to infringe the copyright, privacy, or other rights of others (for example, distributing pirated PDFs).
  4. Use the App for unlawful purposes, or to upload or distribute malicious software.
  5. Impersonate the Company or mislead others into believing you are authorized or endorsed by the Company.

Note: rights in third-party documents you open, share, or print with the App belong to their respective rights holders. You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to use those documents.

4. Intellectual property

The intellectual property in the App (including code, interface design, and the “KindPDF” name and icon) belongs to the Company or its licensors. The license under this Agreement does not constitute any transfer of rights. Third-party open-source components used by the App are listed in Third-Party Licenses and are governed by their respective license terms.

5. Privacy and offline operation

The App is designed to work fully offline and collects no personal data. See the Privacy Policy, which forms part of this Agreement.

6. Updates and compatibility

  1. The Company may release updates from time to time (including improvements and security fixes). We recommend keeping the App up to date for the best experience.
  2. Some updates may require a newer Android version; if your device does not meet the minimum requirement (currently Android 8.0 or later), some features may not be available.
  3. If features are added in the future (such as annotation, signing, or cloud sync), they will be described separately and this Agreement will be updated as needed.

7. Disclaimer

  1. The App is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company makes no express or implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
  2. Because the App is an offline tool, how a document renders may vary with the PDF's own formatting and font embedding. For important documents, rely on the original file and preview before printing.
  3. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including but not limited to loss of data or loss of business), even if the Company was advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Termination

  1. You may terminate this Agreement at any time by uninstalling the App.
  2. If you breach this Agreement, the Company may terminate the license and require you to delete the App.
  3. Sections 4, 7, and 9 survive termination.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The parties agree that the Taiwan Kaohsiung District Court shall be the court of first instance for any dispute arising from this Agreement (where mandatory rules such as consumer protection law provide otherwise, those rules apply).

10. Changes and contact

  1. If this Agreement is revised, the new version will be posted on this page (https://www.jutainet.com/kindpdf/eula.html) with an updated effective date; material changes will be announced in the App. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new version.
