1. Who we are
This policy is issued by Jutai Network Technology Co., Ltd. (JU-TAI NETWORK TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD., Tax ID 59234686, address: 7F, No. 391, Bo'ai 1st Rd., Sanmin Dist., Kaohsiung 807353, Taiwan, email: [email protected]) for the “KindPDF” mobile application (the “App”).
2. What do we collect? — Nothing
- No account data: the App requires no registration and no sign-in. There is no account system.
- No document contents: PDFs you open are decoded and displayed on your device only and are never uploaded to our servers (we have no server that receives user files).
- No usage behavior: no behavioral tracking is embedded and no advertising identifier is used.
- No third-party SDKs collecting data: the App integrates no advertising SDK (such as AdMob), no analytics (such as Firebase Analytics), and no crash reporting (such as Crashlytics). If a future version adds any feature that transmits data, we will update this policy and inform you in the App first.
3. App permissions
The App requests no system permissions at all. We declare no permissions in the app installation information — no access to storage, camera, location, microphone, contacts, notifications, or anything else.
- Opening PDFs: files are opened through Android's built-in system file picker. This requires no storage permission, and the App can only read the single file you personally select.
- Bookmarks and preferences: stored only in the App's private local storage and deleted when the App is uninstalled.
You can verify this under “Settings → Apps → KindPDF → Permissions”: the permission list is empty. If a future version needs a system permission for a new feature, we will update this policy and explain it in the App first.
4. Data retention and deletion
- Bookmarks, reading progress, and preferences (such as night mode) are stored only on your device.
- We hold no data about you on any server, so there is no “server-side deletion” to worry about.
- To clear local data: use “Clear data” in system settings, or simply uninstall the App.
5. Data sharing and disclosure
Because we collect no data, there is no sharing, selling, renting, or disclosure to third parties. The only exception: if compelled by law or a lawful order from a judicial authority, we will comply — but by design the App leaves us with no user data to provide.
6. Children's privacy
The App is a general-purpose reading tool suitable for all ages. It is not directed specifically at children and does not collect children's personal data. Users under 13 (or the legal age in your region) should use it with the guidance of a parent or guardian.
7. Information security
Because data stays only on your device and is never transmitted over the network, the risk of leakage is minimized. Please still take care of your phone (for example, enable a screen lock) to prevent others from directly accessing files on the device.
8. External links
The App or this website may contain links to third-party sites such as Google Play or the Jutai website. Once you click them, the privacy policy of that third party applies and is not covered by this policy.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy is revised, we will post the new version on this page (https://www.jutainet.com/kindpdf/privacypolicy.html) and update the effective date; material changes will also be announced in the App. We encourage you to check back from time to time.
