Three steps and you're reading
- Open the app: Find the KindPDF icon on your phone and tap it.
- Choose a file: Tap “Open file” and pick a PDF from your phone (for example, a letter you received in a messaging app).
- Start reading: Swipe up and down to change pages; pinch with two fingers to zoom in if the text is small; tap “Bookmark” before you leave to save your place.
Tip: the app never deletes or uploads your files — your originals stay right where they are.

Frequently asked questions
Q1: Are there really no ads? Will something pop up mid-read?
No. KindPDF shows no ads while you read and has no pop-ups. That is what sets us apart.
Q2: Will my PDFs be uploaded to the internet?
No. The app works fully offline. Files open only on your phone and are never uploaded or backed up to our servers (we do not have a server that receives your files).
Q3: Do I need to register, sign in, or pay?
No, none of that. Open it after downloading and start reading. No account, no subscription, no in-app purchases.
Q4: What if the text is too small to read?
Pinch outward with two fingers to zoom in. You can also turn on night mode for light text on a dark background, which is easier on the eyes at night.
Q5: Can I edit PDFs (for example, write on them or sign them)?
The current version is a pure reader that focuses on doing one thing well. Annotation and signing may be considered based on user demand.
